"Bob That Head"

10:29 pm Crazy weekend

This weekend has been SO busy, and I love it. First, I need to recap Friday's Rascal Flatts concert.

SO FREAKING GOOD. I loooove Rascal Flatts, so when Eliz mentioned they were coming we were all over getting tickets. I spent all day yesterday listening to their music in preparation. In fact, I was getting out of the shower and singing to "Bob That Head" when a roll of thunder outside made me jump about five feet. It wasn't the thunder that scared me though... it was the thought that I might not be able to attend the concert.

The Meadows (no, I will not call it by it's new name) is "rain or shine," so I spent the next hour glaring out the window at the chunks of hail that were falling and angrily texted back and forth with Eliz. It was still raining when I got to her house...and for the next three hours while we sat in traffic. I have never seen traffic that bad for a concert. Not even for DMB. My theory is that because the weather was so bad, fewer people wanted to tailgate, so everyone left for the concert at the same time, causing the back up all the way to route two.

Anyway, the three hours in the car wasn't so bad. Eliz and I passed the time by critiquing the outfits of the drunk girls in cowboy hats who were tripping and falling all along the side of the road. It provided endless entertainment.

Once we finally arrived, Darius (Hootie!) Rucker's opening set was over... but so was the rain! We avoided the muddy hill (read: death trap) and stood by the railing, which actually gave us a pretty good view. They sound great live, and they played so many of my favorite songs. For those of you who aren't familiar with their music, I've listed a bunch of my favorite Rascal Flatts songs below. Technically, I have 17, but I've given you nine here that show a little variety.

Me and My Gang (good for rockin' out)
Feels Like Today (goosebump inducing)
Bless The Broken Road (makes me have faith...)
Here Comes Goodbye (watch if you want to cry hysterically...like I just did)
Bob That Head (another rockin' song)
Stand (my theme song, according to Steph... she made me download it in May)
What Hurts The Most (another tear-jerker)
Prayin' For Daylight (the first song of theirs I loooved)
These Days (my most played Rascal song <3)

I guess I'm just a country girl at heart...

Psh.

Love,
Tara
